Motion Compensated Gangway

TENSA offers passive heave compensated gangways up to 12m long and active heave compensated gangways up to 50m through our partner Uptime International AS from Norway.

TENSA also offers our Active Heave Compensated Pedestal (AHCP) which is designed to be used in conjunction with the Uptime 12m and 15m aluminium gangways for offshore crew transfer. The AHCP transforms the passive heave compensated gangways into fully active heave compensated systems. The AHCP is ideal for transfers from a moving vessel to other vessels and to fixed structures. The AHCP can also be used to support a wide range of other applications including A frames, LARS systems, winches, cranes up to 3t SWL and small coring rigs.

Combined with the functionality of the AHCP, Tensa’s range of durable and reliable gangways work to deliver a custom transfer solution to suit any design need.

12m Gangway

The 12m gangway is available in 2 configurations – roller end above or gripper end. Active telescoping capability is available when used in roller mode. Passive heave compensation is used in gripper mode.

Active Heave Compensated Pedestal (AHCP)

The Tensa AHCP is a new product that has been developed to provide an active compensated system on lightweight high speed vessels when used in conjunction with the lightweight Uptime 12m and 15m gangways. The AHCP is independent of the gangway and can also be used to support small cranes or winches.

• Compact and easy to mobilize.
• Can easily be mounted using standard container twist-locks.
• Suitable for 12m or 15m telescopic gangways
• Suitable for winches up to 3t SWL.
• Lower weight, size and cost compared to other active heave compensated solutions.
• System can be operated by the onboard crew after training without the need for dedicated personnel.
• Can be used for static transfers at wharves with high tidal range.
