Roborigger

Loading pipe onto supply vessel at Ranong Port

Woodside concluded its Roborigger trial at Ranong Port, Thailand, as part of the Woodside Myanmar Drilling Campaign 2020/21. The trial involved lifting of 12m joints of 20″ casing at Ranong Bonded Yard, each weighting 2.4t, and loading the 20″ casing from the truck onto Pacific Grackle supply vessel.

Installation of HINGE-LOK technology for the transportation and protection of well screens.

Santos trialled the use of the HINGE-LOKTM transportation frame for handling screened casing. The system is attractive because the casing can be run directly from the racks and because it eliminates the need for long transport baskets. For full trial with Roborigger load control, watch here.

Roborigger enters fifth month of service at new WA Museum

Roborigger is proving its reliability by entering the fifth month of service on the new Perth museum site.  Our AR10 unit has been deployed since December and has performed above expectations . It is now  attached to the crane for all operations and operating without tag lines has now become standard on the site.

Roborigger, an Automated Wireless Load Controlling System

Roborigger is a wireless load controlling system which uses gyroscopic and inertial forces to accurately rotate and orient crane loads. Roborigger allows lifting operation to be undertaken without using taglines or without personnel to be in the vicinity of the load. Roborigger has been site-tested for over 12 months with our development partners in commercial use. Rental units are now available.

Panels Installation Using Automated Wireless Rotation Device, Roborigger

In this operation, watch Roborigger being used to lift and install panels on a building at a construction site in Perth CBD without the need for taglines or people to be in the vicinity of the load.

20ft Container 180 Degree Rotation Using Automated Wireless Rotation Device, Roborigger

In this operation, Roborigger rotates a 20ft container 180 degrees without the need for taglines or people to be in the vicinity of the load.

10m Tower Crane Mast 180 degree Rotation Using Automated Wireless Rotation Device, Roborigger

In this operation, watch Roborigger rotate a 10m tower crane mast to 180 degrees without the need for taglines or people to be in the vicinity of the load.

Tower Crane Assembly Using Automated Wireless Lifting & Rotation Device, Roborigger

Watch this video to see how seamlessly Roborigger rotates and orientates parts for tower cranes assembly.

This is why you don’t want to be under a load while a crane is doing a lift!

Tensa has developed ROBORIGGER – a suite of load controlling systems designed to allow the dangerous operations of orienting and landing lifted loads without the need for people to be in the vicinity of the load.

How handy would it be to have a device with a camera just above the load?

This is the crane driver’s view of the load and the people on the boat who must disconnect the load. Tensa’s ROBORIGGER is a device designed to allow the dangerous operations of orienting and landing lifted loads without the need for people to be in the vicinity of the load.

Windy conditions cause cladding panel to spin uncontrollably

Tensa’s ROBORIGGER would have helped making this lifting operation safer for the personnel and also limit the risk of damage to the panel itself.

Would you like this to be your job?

This video highlights where ROBORIGGER could play a vital role in the intricate task of wind turbine blade installation. ROBORIGGER would allow the blade to be oriented and released without the need for personnel to be in the vicinity of the load.

Gangways and Active Heave Compensated Pedestal (AHCP)

Transferring equipment from one vessel to another has never been so easy!

Watch this video to see one of TENSA’s gangways being used in offshore operations – safely transferring personnel and the vessel moving away within minutes!

Watch how safely people can move between two moving vessels with TENSA’s innovative product

One of the TENSA gangways applications is to transfer offshore personnel between tug vessels and barges. This video shows how TENSA gangways can safely transfer personnel quickly and within minutes.

TENSA Active Heave Compensated Pedestal (AHCP)

Watch this video to see the key features of the AHCP and how it provides a more cost effective and safer alternative to using helicopters for transferring personnel from one vessel to another at offshore oil and gas facilities.

Why to use a gangway instead of a personnel basket

This video illustrates one reason why a gangway should be used instead of a personnel basket when transferring from ship to ship.

Why to use a gangway instead of direct landing a boat under a ladder

In this video the protruding nose of the vessel gets caught under the ladder. Even using a small boat pushing against a buffer rail has its dangers.
